According to Electronicfest.com, the swap is the largest ongoing computer and electronics recycling event and swap meet in the southwestern United States. The Scout’s Electronicfest started more than 20 years ago, outside of a small computer repair shop in south Scottsdale, that was owned by one of the scout’s fathers.

The W6TRW Swap meet started in the ’60′s as a “Tail Gate” event and has evolved to the event that it is today. The same basic objective is still around as it was long ago, usually for a ham to gather up their stuff that they no longer need, or perhaps to find something better, or to clear out a garage, store or ham shack. Computers have become a necessity for many, you’ll see lots of computers and parts for sale as well. It is one of the largest continuous running amateur swapmeets in the country. WHERE: the Southeast parking lot at the corner of Marine Ave. and Aviation Blvd. Manhattan Beach always on the LAST Saturday morning of every month. 7AM – 11:30AM
